Welcome! If you’ve landed here it’s because either your inner voice or your friends and family have been telling you,

“You should sell your cookies!”

Perhaps you’ve already been thinking about this for a while, and maybe you’re still in the phase of just thinking. I was in that zone for a very long while, waiting for what would feel like the right time. Looking back, I wish I would have had a lot more relevant information and advice on how to get going, and what to expect once I did. Of course the internet abounds with information on “how to do” pretty much anything, but piecing together all the unique specifics sends you in a million directions.

I am sharing my bag of advice in a way that hopefully won’t make your head explode.

I’ll start with what you will not find on this site:

  • You will not find a bullet point list of 10 quick and easy steps to starting a cookie business.
  • You will not find simple strategies to help you quickly make big profits selling cookies.
  • You will not find recommendations on what cookies you should make to be successful.

Here is what you will find:

  • You will find lengthy discussions on essential cookie business topics written in an encouraging, conversational style.
  • You will find guidance on some of the “official” parts of forming a cookie business.
  • You will find recommendations for some of the specific processes and products I have chosen to work with in my own cookie business.
  • You will find stories of my personal cookie experiences, good and bad, that offer some bit of learning and maybe some entertainment.

One important point – all of my advice prioritizes being as smart and conservative as possible with your money. And that doesn’t necessarily mean “least expensive”. It means that you keep the focus on what you really want to achieve, and prioritize higher spending toward the things that matter the most.

The approach I took and that I write about is a gradual one that builds over time. I imagine the reader here to already have a full plate with family, work, or both. Starting to sell cookies is a dream that you’d be adding in between the layers of everything else. Maybe one day it will be a lot more than that, but for now, that’s where it is.

I hope you will gain some valuable knowledge that helps you start selling your cookies!
